Harold W. Weist is a twenty-year retired Marine Veteran who was born and raised in Findlay, Ohio. Joining the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17, Weist served in various assignments, including two temporary assignments in the Republic of Vietnam. After his retirement in 1973, he moved to Florida City, Florida, where he worked in nuclear security and retail security. Weist also volunteered with the Red Cross, teaching first aid and conducting water safety instructor classes. He later relocated to Mount Juliet, Tennessee, where he received an Associate Degree in Management. Weist has been actively involved with Veterans Service Organizations, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and The Vietnam Veterans of America.
