As part of an annual charitable collaboration, Aqua Surf School, a provider of private surf lessons in Los Angeles, CA, is providing free surfing lessons to members of the local community with practical surfing tips as well as introductory ocean education.
United States - December 6, 2022 —

Aqua Surf School, a surfing lesson provider working out of Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and throughout southern California, is once again teaming up with local organizations to provide free surfing lessons to the East Los Angeles communities. These lessons are part of an annual charitable collaboration that champions environmental education, surf instruction, and a healthy sense of community for inner-city kids and teens.
Working with organizations like Surfer Foundation Los Angeles, Los Courage Camps, INTRSXN, Color The Water, and LAPD Cadets, Aqua Surf is again hosting a range of diverse children and adults of Los Angeles for free surfing lessons as part of the Surfrider Foundation annual event.
Families from the East Los Angeles Community have shown up to the annual events year after year, enjoying the free surfing lessons as well as the introductory ocean safety education provided. The event welcomes students from all demographics, but with an additional focus on those who come from communities that are largely underserved or underrepresented, offering them access to beach recreation, something that has historically been withheld from them for cultural and other reasons.
These events are an annual charitable collaboration that champions environmental education, surf instruction, and a healthy sense of community for inner-city kids. Many children who might not otherwise have the opportunity can benefit from surf lessons and education that can help them develop a great connection to their environment.
Aqua Surf has teamed up with the LAPD and SurfriderLA to help, inspire, and teach hundreds of under-served kids every year by championing environmental education, surfing instruction, and a healthy sense of community to over 300 Inner-City kids annually (throughout the summertime) via surfing.
AQUA SURF provides surfing instruction services throughout Southern California (from Malibu to San Diego). They have developed a systematic way of teaching students, training instructors, and running operations to share amazing surf sessions with their local community and visitors from around the world. As the demand for surfing continues to grow, the team aims to continue to advance our innovations, dynamic methods, and company practices to ensure a positive, safe, and rewarding experience for everyone.
