In a slightly different approach to launching his new school, Richard Haight will be giving a hands-on demonstration of the power of harmony to defeat physical strength, speed, and aggression. Richard Haight’s School of Martial, Meditation & Healing Arts, located at 258 A Street, Suite #12, Ashland, Oregon has decided it will demonstrate the true power of aiki, and this is expected to take place First Friday 2nd of September at 6pm.

Where most martial arts schools just post some fliers and leave it at that, martial arts master, Richard Haight’s, has decided to offer a once in a life-time opportunity to directly experience the incredible power of aiki by way of arm-wrestling with attendees using only one finger. Sensei Haight will also demonstrate sword quick drawing, Japanese sword fencing, and aikijujutsu as an open handed self defense with one of his students.
Richard Haight, Menkyo-Kaiden, Shihan (Master instructor equivalent to 10th degree black belt) of Japanese samurai arts and owner of Richard Haight’s School of Martial, Meditation & Healing Arts, says: “I wanted to offer a once in a life-time opportunity with the public launch of my school, where I will demonstrate the secret power of aiki through simple arm-wrestling. The catch is that I will only use one finger because I want to offer something so memorable that people will spread the word.
It should be really worthwhile to anyone who loves the martial arts or meditation, and we’re hoping it get people fired up about the true power of harmony. It should go great unless, haha, I happen to break my finger while arm-wrestling people with it! But imagine losing a match to single finger! It should be good fun.”
