Sulema Espinosa, a proud grandmother and retired teacher who now works at a daycare for two-year-olds, has completed her new book, "My Skylighter": a stirring true story of how the author and her daughter found one another after years of the author struggling to become a mother.
"'My Skylighter' is based on a true story of what I went through before my daughter, Skylar, was brought into my world," writes Espinosa. "It is about the process of adopting a child in foster care while being a foster parent. It brings up topics about the struggles of some women not being able to conceive but still being able to be a mother to children in need of a good family and a forever home."
