BBR$999 Wins First Two Second Mortgage Week Online Poker Events at Americas Cardroom

Back-to-back No-Limit Hold’em titles produce $241,630 in winnings.

San Jose, Costa Rica, September 24, 2026 -- Americas Cardroom player BBR$999 swept the opening Second Mortgage Week poker tournaments on Monday, earning $241,630 from two consecutive Nosebleed Stakes wins.

The first victory came in the $10,300 NLH 8-Max, where BBR$999 earned $154,000. The online poker event drew 55 entries and created a $550,000 prize pool. Americas Cardroom CEO Phil Nagy, playing as Justsomefish72, finished second for $110,000, ahead of third-place LeijkieHond at $88,000.

BBR$999 then won the $5,200 NLH 8-Max for $87,630. Its 69 entries generated a $345,000 prize pool, with Halongbeee taking $65,550 for second and Chamois999 receiving $51,750 for third.

Together, the opening events paid $895,000, with BBR$999 winning over one-quarter of that amount.

Americas Cardroom Pros Chris Moneymaker and Alex Foxen also played the openers but missed the paid places. Moneymaker used his own name, while Foxen competed as OutFoxenYou.

Eight Second Mortgage Week tournaments remain, with buy-ins from $5,200 to $25,500. Wednesday offers two Pot-Limit Omaha events. Two No-Limit Hold’em tournaments follow Thursday, while Sunday includes the $25,500 NLH 8-Max and a $5,200 NLH event.

The promotion closes Monday, September 28 with $15,400 and $5,200 tournaments.

Second Mortgage Week is part of the $50 million GTD OSS XL, which ends September 29. Sunday features the next flights of the $2.5 million guaranteed $2,650 OSS XL Main Event and the $2 million guaranteed $1,050 Main Event, plus Day 2 of the $500,000 guaranteed $66 Main Event.
