In an effort to better serve the Cincinnati community with the highest standard of Ambulatory Surgery Center care for spine and orthopaedics, BEST Surgery & Therapies announces two new services to their center: physical therapy and MRI.
As part of BEST's services for spine and orthopaedic patients, physical therapy is the latest addition. Whether patients need basic therapy or surgical rehabilitation, the BEST physical therapy programs are designed to help patients improve mobility and increase strength. By using a combination of exercises and hands-on techniques, physical therapists work to promote better function and long-term health. An individual's physical therapy program will differ based on their age, condition, and recovery goals.
The types of physical therapy currently being offered include assisted soft tissue mobilization, muscle strengthening and conditioning, balance training and fall risk reduction, cupping, dry needling, Kinesio taping, core therapy, and a total joint pre and post-surgery program.
BEST has invested significantly in new machinery for its imaging and diagnostics floor. They have recently added a state-of-the-art Siemens Magnetom Aera magnetic resonance imaging machine (MRI) to diagnose spine and joint conditions.
The MRI can view the inside of the body in a non-invasive way while providing images of soft tissues including ligaments, nerves, tendons, and muscles. The MRI also images joint structures like bone and cartilage at a level of detail far beyond the information obtained with simple x-rays. The Magnetom Aera is an efficient machine that allows the exam to be completed as fast and accurately as possible while accommodating patients up to 550 pounds.
The inclusion of the new MRI machine and physical therapy service is posed to expand the range of care available to patients at BEST and allows us to better deliver superior service and provide multiple medical care options while enhancing the quality of patient experience.
BEST is a world-class facility that offers patients the most advanced medical care for spine and orthopaedic treatment. As a single-solution outpatient ambulatory facility, BEST focuses on conservative treatments for chronic pain affecting the back, neck, hip, knee, shoulder, and upper and lower extremities.
Patients can make an appointment to see an expert at our BEST office by calling 513-790-3810. BEST Surgery & Therapies is located at 2001 Gilbert Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45202, open between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. The team looks forward to connecting with new patients in the Cincinnati area looking for the treatment they deserve.
