Black Owned Business Launches Milan Based Clothing Brand

Apr 2, 2022

Milan, Italy Apr 1, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Being an ally for Black Americans goes beyond Black History Month. It means genuinely supporting the community through art, literature, small businesses, film, fashion, and any endeavors all year round. Khaiyon's brand is named Saint Eighth. This clothing brand doesn't only think T-shirts on blanks, although that's still an aspect of the line. When owner and artistic director Khaiyon Rice founded the business, he decided he wanted to reinvigorate the look of streetwear. That was two years ago. Today, Khaiyon is still consistent with his vision and has high potential as the Milan-based company is in the midst of preparing to expand its headquarters later this year.

"The brand symbolizes timeless and unique creative directions with a plan to inspire the world and never to sacrifice what makes us different to reach our full potential. The traditional streetwear is slowly evolving into current fashion culture today; this is where Saint Eighth comes into its own." "Unisex and still effectively a top tier clothing brand, these clothes have far more potential to turn into a personal emblem of luxurious streetwear and becoming " The Poster Brand " for fashionable clothing all around the world." Khaiyon Rice, Founder, and CEO of Saint Eighth said.

Khaiyon, who originally moved from Philadelphia to Italy while in the Air Force, engineered new unique designs for Saint Eighth that uses silhouettes of black advocates to create the pattern that's on various T-shirts, Hoodies, and Sweaters. Other pieces, such as sweatpants, shorts, trucker hats, ski masks, and socks show the range of where Khaiyon hopes to continue moving the brand, which is made domestically.

"I didn't want to just put one logo and design on a t-shirt and call it designer," Khaiyon said. "I wanted to have a wide range of unique streetwear. Clothing that's not just identified by a logo but by the way the clothes feel and the designs that stand out from other brands. I feel as though these design elements give us authenticity and a strong foundation for our supporters and anyone who loves fashion."

Saint Eighth, with its new legs, is still small. The business sells direct through its website in addition to pop-up shops in places such as Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Italy. Khaiyon would prefer distribution to be well controlled, with a focus mostly online until the business expands.
