Featuring three remixes from producers such as Dope Ammo, Papa Gee, and Indivision, the record gives a chance for artists to put a new spin on a highly creative track. Dope Ammo and Papa Gee's takes on 'Open Your Eyes' are brand new, while Indivision's remix was released in September 2021.
Dope Ammo's remix kicks off the project. The producer emphasises the track's opening melody, making it the centrepiece of the intro. Eventually, the verse is given a bass-heavy makeover while head-rushing riffs make for a vivid dancefloor experience.
Papa Gee's take on 'Open Your Eyes' turns the original into a speaker breaking piece of jump up. Snarling bass motifs combine with bone-crunching percussion lines, and the clipped vocal samples from Blue Frequency's track are retained to give the remix depth and decoration.
The EP's penultimate track is Indivision's remix of 'Open Your Eyes'. Here, the liquid tones of the original track remain plush and soothing, but the producer lays down drum programming that gently pushes the tune forward. It's a rhythmic take, amplifying the sonics of the original and putting a fresh spin on them in the process.
Blue Frequency's 'Open Your Eyes' closes out the record, the warm sonics hitting the ear to create musical bliss.
