Par,United Kingdom - April 7, 2022 /PressCable/ —
The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is currently in the process of talking to leadership figures from across the nation in an attempt to understand this universal trait and what it means in Britain and Northern Ireland today.
Bradley Pallister from Innovolo Ltd was invited onto an episode of the podcast. Host Scott Challinor asked a series of questions about leadership and the role it has played in their career to date.
Scott Challinor commented, ‘Hosting a show like this, where you speak to genuine leaders who have been there and done it, either on a national stage or within a crucial industry sector, is an absolute honour.’
Lord Blunkett, chairman of The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland said, ‘I think the most informative element of each episode is the first part, where Scott Challinor is able to sit down with someone who really gets how their industry works and knows how to make their organisation tick. Someone who’s there day in day out working hard and inspiring others. That’s what leadership is all about.’
Pallister discussed the role of leaders in innovation and how change can be brought about. He stated ‘Innovation is all about bringing about change, and leadership is all about inspiring and motivating people to achieve common goals. So I see leadership as being absolutely essential to innovation.’
He went on to say, ‘I think the role of leaders is to set the direction for innovation, to inspire their teams and to create an environment where innovation can flourish. And I think that’s something that British businesses are generally quite good at.’
When asked about what leadership means in Britain and Northern Ireland today, Pallister stated, ‘I think leadership in Britain and Northern Ireland today is about inspiring people to be the best that they can be and to do that in an environment where they feel supported and valued.’
He continued, ‘I think it’s also about being willing to take risks and experiment because that’s how we achieve great things. And I think it’s also about being inclusive and building diverse teams because that’s how we get the best ideas.’
The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a membership organisation made up of leaders from all walks of life. The aim of the organisation is to promote good leadership and to provide support and development opportunities for leaders across the country.
