In addition to expanding its menu, the restaurant now gives customers the option of building their own savory crêpes. Crêpes à la Cart is based in Breckenridge, Colorado, and specializes in crêpes.

The new announcement comes amid growing awareness of common dietary restrictions among Americans. Experts estimate that around 3 million Americans have celiac disease, which causes an immune response in the small intestine whenever gluten is consumed. This can greatly limit a person’s options, as many common food items have gluten in them.

Because Crêpes à la Cart now customizes their crêpes to a customer’s preference, customers with celiac disease or customers who simply wish to go gluten-free can request a crêpe made of gluten-free batter.

When building their own crêpe, customers can choose from a variety of cheeses, meats, and vegetables for their filling. Crêpes à la Cart has many conventional options, such as bacon and pepperoni, but customers can also opt for healthier choices like smoked salmon or roasted chicken.

The crêperie also offers their own savory specialties to customers who don’t want or need a custom-made crêpe. Their menu includes their Chicken Florentine crêpe, which is a crêpe with Swiss cheese, chicken, spinach, onions, mushrooms, and a dill and chive sauce. Customers who prefer vegetarian options can opt for Crêpes à la Cart’s Veggie Lover’s crêpe, which has no meat in the filling.

Along with their savory crêpes, the crêperie has an extensive menu of sweet crêpes and also serves breakfast-style crêpes depending on the time of day. The whole food ingredients used in their crêpes make the restaurant a healthier alternative to fast food establishments.

Crêpes à la Cart has been serving residents of Breckenridge for over 20 years. Since starting in 2000, the crêperie has won several awards and has since opened another location in Breckenridge, as well as one in Silverthorne.

A satisfied customer said: “I’m so happy I stumbled on this place. Huge menu, every type of crêpe imaginable. The best part is the way they are served, in a paper holder that you peel away as you eat. Original, incredibly delicious, fast, and friendly.”
