A new Joomla Australia Award Scheme has been announced at the 2019 JoomlaDay in Brisbane, offering web designers the chance to showcase their skills with a range of categories. The event will be held on August 3-4, and will have something for everyone from beginners to experts in the field.
For more information please visit the website here: https://joomladay.org.au/2019-joomladay-awards
JoomlaDay will be an ongoing annual event from 2019, offering great learning experiences for all attendees. The awards will also run on an annual basis, giving companies and designers the chance to grab a prestigious certificate showing off their skills.
There are four categories judged by international judges to ensure that there is no favoritism from local judges. In addition to this, there will also be a People’s Choice award chosen on the weekend.
It will be a big weekend with the new awards and all the other Joomla action taking place over the two days. The winning site developers can then show off their awards on their website forever, as they will be dated for the year won, starting with the 2019 awards.
JoomlaDay Australia 2019 will be offering awards to developers who are producing outstanding web productions. Attendees will be able to show off their best work, showcase their or their clients’ brand, and increase their digital prestige through entering the different categories.
All sites entered into the contest will automatically be considered for every category it is eligible for, with four finalists chosen before one winner is decided.
The categories include Most Innovative, Best User Experience, Most Attractive, and Best Overall. This latter category is the most coveted of them all because a “total package” site will be evaluated.
The organisers state: “All finalists and winners will have their company/name and website displayed next to the appropriate digital badge on the JoomlaDay Australia “Hall of Fame” page with links to route traffic directly to their or their client’s award-winning sites.”
