He rounded out his clinical training with a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.

The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hernandez conducts research and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is active in the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
