Gig Harbor Realtor Partners With NorthWest Wag Rescue to Help Dogs in Need This Holiday Season

This holiday season, premiere Gig Harbor nonprofit NorthWest Wag Rescue is helping local foster dogs in need. The charity is collecting supplies, with some help from local Realtor Lindsay Jackman of the Lindsay Jackman Group, to be distributed to local rescue dogs and their human families now through the end of the month.
"This is a cause that's very near to my heart. I love dogs, and I have a soft spot for rescues," said Lindsay. "This time of year, as the weather gets colder, is especially tough for those pups, and the work that NorthWest Wag Rescue is doing to help find them homes makes such a big difference."
NorthWest Wag Rescue is in need of collars, leashes, food, treats, toys, flea and tick prevention, blankets, towels, kennels and beds. Baskets for donations are located in several places in Gig Harbor, including one at Lindsay's office. The organization currently does not have its own facility, so they rely on foster families to shelter their rescued dogs until they are able to find families to adopt them.
"NorthWest Wag Rescue has very quickly become a successful non-profit organization, helping to find foster and eventually permanent homes for doggies that would have otherwise been euthanized," said Lindsay. "Their dedication to the welfare of animals is truly inspiring."
