Hollywood, California Apr 2, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - This weekend is Philadelphia's Greek Independence Celebration. Harry Karapalides, an award-winning author and writer, has been named a co-chairman. According to Karapalides, the Grand Marshal of the Greek Independence Parade in 2023 will be His Excellency George J. Tsunis, US Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic. On Sunday, April 2, 2023, the Federation will mark the 202nd Anniversary of Greek Independence with its Annual Greek Independence Day Parade on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Karapalides expressed his enthusiasm for this year's parade, which will include His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, representatives from the governments and military of the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Cyprus, national, statewide, and local governments, folk dance troupes, local Greek Orthodox churches, cultural and educational organizations, and others.
Karapalides is the CEO of Karapalides Films and the President of 69th Street Productions. He is an Executive Producer on the upcoming miniseries Recipes or Love, starring Daniel Baldwin and Nicholas Turturro, among others. He has practiced law in Pennsylvania for over 35 years, with offices in Upper Darby, Delaware County. He also lectures in local college classes, holds leadership positions in social and civic organizations, and serves on the Delaware County Bar Association's panel. Harry has written historical novels, nonfiction works, magazine articles, internet articles, and blogs. His American Revolution textbook has been used in archaeological digs in Williamsburg, Virginia, and other Revolutionary War sites.
According to rumors, Karapalides has teamed up with Diana Ramos-Santiago Carter, a veteran of the United States Army, a high-powered Hollywood film producer, and the CEO and Founder of Panther Trail Film Productions in Hollywood, and they currently have two (2) projects in development.
