Thereafter, he did his initial training at the University of Hawaii, before going on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 2004. A year later, he completed his fellowship in pain medicine at Wake Forest University and joined Carolina's Pain Institute in August of 2005.
As for his many accomplishments, Dr. North serves on the Board of the Pain Society of the Carolinas and the Sceptor Pain Foundation. He is also a member of the World Institute of Pain and a lecturer on a variety of pain subjects, nationally and internationally.
Pain medicine is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery.
