He completed medical school at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and finished his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Casa Colina Hospital, where he was chief resident.
His educational journey continued with fellowship training at UCLA Interventional Spine in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Wei then attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation, accredited by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOBPMR). The AOBPMR is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the treatment of patients with physical impairments or disabilities.
Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry and physiatrics, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
In his free time, Dr. Wei enjoys 3D modeling and printing, building/fixing/modifying random things, working on cars, watching Formula 1 racing, and traveling with his wife.
