New York City, New York Feb 4, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. Carroll is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is committed to comprehensive care for women throughout their life cycle. She joined Morehouse School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2018 for her third tenure with the medical school.

Previously in private practice for over 25 years at Comprehensive Women's Healthcare and then transitioning to Greater Atlanta's Women's Healthcare the last few years, a passion and a calling to practice while teaching residents arose and superseded the notion of continuing in practice. Working at Grady hospital offers a range of detailed and complex gynecological services to meet the healthcare needs of today's modern woman, and provides comprehensive obstetrical care for expectant mothers. The residency program allows participation in training the next generation of top obstetrician-gynecologists, utilizing the latest medical technology to make each patient's visit very unique and personal.

A 1982 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Carroll went on to further her training. She performed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. in 1983 and 1989, respectively.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women's health.

In practice since 1989, Dr. Carroll is affiliated with Grady Women's Center, Grady Memorial Hospital, Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Piedmont Physicians Gynecology - Watkinsville, Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, and Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.

Among her various accolades, Dr. Carroll is the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016, 2017).
