New York City, New York Dec 18, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - A triple board-certified family physician, Dr. Masson is the Associate Medical Director of Ambulatory Clinical Informatics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Alongside her clinical role, she holds a position as a Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

After graduating in 1985 from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, Dr. Masson initially pursued a two-year general surgery residency before redirecting her focus to primary care.

In 2000, after 15 years of active practice, she transitioned her office to the electronic health record (EHR). Her commitment to promoting improved communication and transparency led her into an active role in informatics, with the belief that medicine can achieve an efficient system that prioritizes quality and simplifies decision-making for physicians.

Writing has been a persistent habit throughout her life--including a second degree from MIT in humanities, a community columnist role for a decade in Modesto, California, and an opportunity to write a patient blog for Sutter Health. Since 2011, Dr. Masson has returned to her native Los Angeles as a clinical informaticist at Cedars-Sinai.
