In 2005, he completed a fellowship in hip and knee replacement at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in orthopaedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
Licensed to practice medicine in Connecticut, Dr. Minotti is affiliated with Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System-West Haven, Griffin Hospital, and Yale New Haven Hospital.
Affiliations include membership in the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
As a testament to his success, Dr. Minotti has been the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2010) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010).
Happily married, he currently resides in Orange, Connecticut with his wife and two children.
