The World Egg Bank expands its growing list of verified fertility clinics by adding Queensland Fertility Group’s St Andrew’s Place clinic and Queensland Fertility Group’s Toowoomba clinic, both in Australia.

The World Egg Bank (TWEB) announces the addition of Queensland Fertility Group’s St Andrew’s Place clinic in Brisbane and Queensland Fertility Group’s Toowoomba clinic to a list of over 100 verified clinics. A clinic becomes verified once a TWEB embryologist assists a clinic laboratory in the first warming of a shipped ova. Controlling the process of thawing a shipped egg is critical to the delivery and use of the ova in a donor egg recipient.
Brian LoManto, TWEB Laboratory Manager, traveled overseas to Queensland, Australia in late April to verify two clinics operated by Queensland Fertility Group (QFG). LoManto is proud to report that the verification process went smoothly with both clinics.

While there, LoManto met with Jacqui Irving, QFG Scientific Director, who is a leading fertility scientist in New Zealand and Australia. Irving gave LoManto a tour of their clinics and laboratories. They discussed laboratory protocols, the special conditions for donation in Australia, and recommendations for some sights to see during the visit.
