Kanye West fans are blowing up Twitter with hashtag #KanyeWestForSuperBowl51 in an effort to ensure the performer a spot for the Super Bowl 51 half time show.

In a confusing twist of facts, Adele announced that she had turned down the offer to perform at the Super Bowl, but the NFL and the half time sponsor Pepsi issued a joint statement saying that the show was never offered to her. Whatever the truth is, now that her name is off the table, Kanye fans have taken to social media in droves to make the case that he is the perfect star to do the show.

The hashtag currently trending on Twitter was created by TeamKanyeDaily, and has the potential to propel the star to even greater heights than now. “Don’t wait to get your Kanye West tickets if you’re a fan,” says the spokesman. “But if you can’t make the show, you might consider picking up Super Bowl 51 tickets now in case he performs because once it’s announced, they’ll be gone almost instantly.”
