Visited, the travel app, has published the top 10 most visited art museums as per their international traveling users. The Visited App allows users to interactively check off famous places on the list features, including art museums, ancient sites and other lists.

  2. Vatican Museum located in Vatican City is the second most visited museum in the world. 
  3. Musee D'Orsay hosts the largest collection of impressionist pieces and is found in Paris, France. 
  4. British Museum is located in London, England, has art pieces dating from the ancient world civilization all the way to modern times. 
  5. Metropolitan Museum of Art located in New York, United States, is the largest museum in North America and no trip to New York is incomplete without visiting the 'Met'. 
  6. National Gallery located in London, England, is the second most visited museum in United Kingdom and holds important paintings from mid-13th centuries to 1900s. 
  7. Centre Pompidou is the third most visited art museum in Paris, France, is known for being the largest modern museum in the world. 
  8. Museum of Modern Art, often called MoMA, is the second most visited museum in New York and specializes in contemporary art. 
  9. Van Gogh Museum is found in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and just like the name suggests it is dedicated to Vincent Van Gogh. It is interesting to note that Rijksmuseum, which is dedicated to Dutch Art and found a few steps away from Van Gogh, is the 12th most visited Art Museum. 
  10.  Uffizi Gallery is located in Florence, Italy, and holds the largest collection of Italian Renaissance.
