December 20, 2022 - /PressAdvantage/ - Waite Vision, the leading vision correction center in Lehi, Utah, recently published an article about one patient's experience with EVO ICL surgery. The patient, Cory, describes how the procedure has improved his life all around and what it is like to have freedom from glasses. He tells readers the procedure was quick and amazing. In their publication, Waite Vision has also included a video of the patient talking about his experience for those interested in learning more about the procedure.
According to the clinic, the patient first came to Waite Vision with the goal of getting rid of his glasses. After undergoing a consultation, it was decided that EVO ICL surgery was his best option, and set about preparing him for the procedure, a process which included answering every question and concern he had. By the time his procedure was scheduled, Cory understood everything about his ICL procedure, and the clinic was consistently available in the event he had further questions or wished to discuss it further.
ICL, or Implantable Collamer® Lens, is a state-of-the-art vision correction procedure in which a synthetic lens is placed behind the iris. Known to be both safe and effective, this procedure is used to treat both nearsightedness and astigmatism. In fact, the clinic says some patients will find it produces better results than the LASIK procedure.
In his testimonial, Cory says, “I had ICL done at Waite Vision earlier this year. Wore glasses since I was four or five years old. The lenses got thicker as I got older, to the point, when I came in for the first time to talk to Dr. Waite, he kind of looked at my glasses and nodded. He’s like, ‘You know, we can do something for you about those.’ He was just very casually laid back. When they finally decided on the procedure, he was great at explaining exactly what the procedure would be like, what to expect right after, and so, it was just comfortable. You come in here, it’s very relaxed, and the staff are professional. They let you know what’s going on, every test you take to make sure that they’re gonna get you the best vision possible.”
The clinic explains the pre-operative stage is vital, and every patient undergoes a thorough assessment to ensure their eye doctor understands their condition — and how ideal a candidate they may be for a particular procedure. Once the doctor has assessed the patient, they go over the vision correction options. Once the clinic and patient both settle on a path, a team member walks the patient through every step of the process.
Cory goes on to say, “They’re great at explaining everything. So, you’re not coming in just going, ‘Why are you doing that? Why are you doing that?’ They’re great at walking you through every step so that you know what to expect. Being able to travel and not having to pack a bunch of extra things and go through TSA, that alone is worth it, and that’s just a small thing. So, all the big things — like if you live an active lifestyle or, I mean, you do everything with your eyes from going to the movies, to a concert to, you know, anything. It just improves your life all around. I just finished the procedure. I turned around and looked out the window. I could read buildings, you know, across the highway, which was amazing, and then, I went and sat in a room and relaxed for a little bit and, I mean, I was driving I think the next day. So, it was pretty quick. It was pretty amazing.”
The ICL testimonial from Cory is only one of Waite Vision’s many success stories. Other testimonials can be found on the official Waite Vision website as well, and anyone interested in having their eyes assessed can reach out to the clinic today via phone, email or social media. Waite Vision looks forward to helping more people achieve perfect vision.
